ResMed AirTouch™ F20 Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear
Highly regarded as ResMed’s softest, most comfortable mask ever, the AirTouch™ F20 is the very first to feature the revolutionary ResMed UltraSoft™ memory foam cushion technology. This AirTouch™ F20 mask fits 98% of patients according to a recent study conducted by ResMed¹.
With that in mind, the AirTouch™ F20 is designed to reduce facial markings and skin irritation even when sealed and pressed firmly against the skin while in use. Permeable foam creates a uniquely natural, breathable seal that allows excess heat and sweat to escape through the cushion, without compromising therapy pressure and preventing further skin irritation.
The AirTouch™ F20 delivers fantastic comfort and a light, breathable experience even at high CPAP pressures. Conforming to the unique contours of an individual's face and featuring various sizes, this memory foam cushion is designed to deliver a light, comfortable fit while working across a range of therapy pressures ensuring maximum comfort and ease of use. This product is compatible with all ResMed CPAP machines and can even be used with the AirMini with the F20 Setup pack.

The AirTouch™ F20's UltraSoft™ Cushion is ResMed's softest ever. UltraSoft™ cushions feature lightweight, breathable memory foam that deliver an unmatched comfortable and light, breathable experience even at high pressures. UltraSoft™ cushions are much more adaptable to facial features than traditional silicone cushions. They are also more breathable due to this so this results in the cushion feeling more natural on the face.
The cushions are available in three different sizes namely, small, medium and large. Please view the AirTouch™ F20 size guide to give you an idea of the type of fit regarding this mask.
The AirTouch™ F20's frame flexes naturally to fit each individual user's facial profile, minimizing facial contact, improving stability, and providing an unrestricted field of view. F20 doesn't require any facial contact above the eyes and integrated padding, within the frame, adds cushioning so you can read, watch TV and enjoy your bedtime routine without worrying about pinching, pressure or red marks from your mask.
Plush Headgear, specifically designed for extra softness and stability, is included with the AirTouch™ F20. Rolled-edge fabric straps on the headgear are designed to be worn loosely so the UltraSoft™ cushion can adapt to your individual facial contours without excessive pressure. Magnetic clips on the lower straps guide the headgear into the frame so it is quick and easy to put on and take off. All AirTouch™ F20 masks come with Standard Headgear with blue highlights.
AirTouch™ F20 features ResMed's QuietAir Elbow with almost silent air dispersion and a more gentle exhaust airflow than ever before so everyone can enjoy a quiet, comfortable night's sleep. The F20's elbow also features quick release squeeze-tabs so it's easy to detach with one hand at night while rotating 360° with an independent tube swivel to reduce tubing drag and resistance.
AirTouch™ F20 & AirFit™ F20 masks are built around the same flexible, padded frame and headgear system so all of the cushions and parts on both masks are completely interchangeable.
According to ResMed:

Q What is the difference between AirFit™ F20 and AirTouch™ F20?
A The major difference between the two designs are their respective cushions. The AirFit™ F20 features a silicone cushion, which is soft, durable, and very easy to clean. The AirTouch™ F20, on the other hand, features a memory foam cushion that is “UltraSoft™” and designed to mold to the contours of your unique facial structure, ensuring great comfort while in use.
Q How long does the AirTouch™ F20 cushion last?
A Studies show that AirTouch™ mask cushions are hygienic to use for one month without cleaning, which is generally the recommended replacement schedule.
Q Does the AirTouch™ F20 have memory foam?
A Yes. The AirTouch™ F20 is the first ResMed mask to use UltraSoft™ memory foam cushion technology for the perfect blend of comfort and performance. The AirTouch™ F20 delivers unmatched comfort and a light, breathable seal even at high pressures.
Q Are the AirFit™ F20 and the AirTouch™ F20 interchangeable?
A Both AirFit™ and AirTouch™ cushions are interchangeable on the F20 mask frame.
Q Which CPAP mask is best for high pressures?
A The most comfortable CPAP mask type for high-pressure settings is usually a full face mask. They create a seal around your nose and mouth to distribute the air pressure over a larger area, along with providing oxygen for mouth breathers during the night.
Q How should a F20 mask fit?
A With the mask held against your face, pull the headgear over your head. Ensure the top of the mask cushion is sitting comfortably at the top of your nasal bridge. The bottom of your headgear should settle comfortably at the top of your neck and the top of the headgear would be on your crown. Please use the F20 Sizing Guide for a better indication of your specific face type.
Q How often should I replace my sleep apnea mask?
A It is highly recommended that you replace your CPAP mask every three months, but you should replace your cushions and filters minimum once but try for twice a month according to best practice. CPAP mask headgear is recommended to be replaced every six months, and the tubing connecting your mask to your CPAP every three months.
Q What is the difference between F10, F20 and F30 masks?
A The ResMed AirFit™ F30 only comes in two sizes, which may require a bit more adjusting to find a good fit and could fit only a certain group of individuals. Alternatively, the ResMed AirFit™ F10 is not compatible with the top-selling ResMed AirMini™ Travel CPAP machine which has taken the world by storm. Regarding the F20, the adaptive wings of the ResMed AirTouch™/AirFit™ F20 offers more customized comfort for varied face shapes and sizes and there is a setup pack which connects you to the AirMini™ device as well. From this perspective, the F20 is a great all-rounder.
Q How do you change the AirFit™ F20 cushion?
A Remove elbow from frame by pressing the side buttons and pulling the elbow away.
Unclip the EasyClick Magnets.
Undo upper headgear tabs.
Pull strapping away from the frame.
Hold the side of the frame between the upper and lower arms. Gently pull the cushion away from the frame.
Please refer to the User Guide for full instructions.
Q How tight should my CPAP mask be?
A Make sure the mask is snug but not overly tight. A common problem is over-tightening so be sure the mask is just secure enough to create a proper seal. If the mask is too tight, the silicone cushion that creates the seal can “fold over” on itself, giving air places to escape and causing leaks. Please view the F20 sizing guide to ensure that you choose the mask that would best be suited for you.
Q Why is the AirFit™ F20 mask cushion made from silicone material?
A Most CPAP masks have silicone cushions because it's a hypoallergenic material that's soft, lightweight and allows for a stable, comfortable seal on your face while you're sleeping.
Q How do I clean my AirTouch™ F20 mask?
A Firstly, you would need to disassemble the mask.
If needed, wipe the mask cushion with a CPAP wipe and allow it to dry. Very important to consider is that the mask must not be wet.
Rinse the frame and elbow of the mask by running under water. As water does contain impurities and residue, clean each component with a soft bristle brush.
Then, soak the components in warm water with a mild liquid detergent for up to ten minutes.
Shake components in water to loosen any dirt or residue that has accumulated.
Brush moving parts of the elbow and around vent holes.
Brush areas of the mask frame where the arms connect, and inside and outside the frame where the elbow connects. This is in order to remove any stubborn dirt or grime.
After this has been completed, rinse components once again under running water.
Leave components to air dry out of direct sunlight. In order to speed up the drying process, please make sure to squeeze the arms of the frame to ensure excess water is removed.
Please view the Disinfection and Sterilization Guide for more details
Q Is the AirTouch™ F20 mask compatible with the AirMini™ CPAP machine?
A Yes, the AirTouch™ F20 is compatible with the AirMini™. As with the AirFit™ F20 , it cannot be used with the HumidX™ or HumidX™ Plus and must be used with the F20 set up pack.
Q Is headgear provided with this product?
A Yes, headgear is provided with this particular product. However, if your mask frame and cushion have worn out but your headgear is still in a good condition, you can also purchase the F20 assembly kit without the headgear.
Q Is there a "For Her" version of this mask available?
A Yes, the AirTouch™ F20 For Her is currently available as an alternative solution.
